Arrival Help and Housing Getting to Monterey: If you are arriving at either the San Francisco or San Jose International Airports, you will probably need to use the Monterey-Salinas Airbus to get to Monterey. Check out www.montereyairbus.com for schedules and rates. Although the cost may seem a bit high, with gas prices today, the fee is well worth it. The airbus will take you to the Transit Center in Downtown Monterey.
We make every effort to assist all students who request arrival help. We can make arrangements to have someone meet you at the Monterey airport or airbus terminal when you first arrive and, with some advance notice, arrange for temporary accommodations (three-five nights) free of charge in a local home while you adjust to the time change, search for housing and get acclimated. Please let us know through the Talk To Us section if you would like this type of help.
We are not a housing search program nor can we guarantee any type of long-term housing arrangement. We will, however, work with you and do our very best to help you find a suitable place to live using the contacts that we have through our ISI network and any others we learn of.
