Upcoming Activities

July 4 (Sat) Fourth of July -- afternoon & early evening.
(For those who might wait in anticipation, their will be no public fireworks this year.)
Come join us as we visit a local home to celebrate the day Americans consider to be the birth of a nation.  Play outdoor games, eat burgers, and learn a bit about our Declaration of Independence, as well as our Constitution.  Together they represent the source of our heritage, establishing the many freedoms that we cherish.  Is freedom always a good thing?  Can it be taken advantage of?  Together we will also discuss the pros and cons of true freedom -- what does it mean to each of us as we all come from different backgrounds and experiences?

May 29 - ISI Annual Yosemite Trip - A weekend to remember! 
This is always one of the biggest highlights of the year, spending two nights in host homes, ideally timed right after graduation so that visiting families can hopefully join us.

May 14 - ISI Annual Graduation Gala - Always a highlight!
A fabulous evening celebrating the graduates, with friends and families of the graduates as well as ISI volunteers - a truly memorable evening.

April 18 - Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk Blast! Great experience for those who went!

February 27 - March 1, 2009 - ISI Annual Snow Play Weekend - A terrific weekend with lots of fun for all. Thanks to Sierra Bible Church in Sonora, CA for providing all the homestays - a definite treat!

January 25 (Sun.), 5:00 - 8:00 pm - Chinese New Year Celebration! - An amazing evening! Lots of delicious food (hao che!), friends new and old, with the evening capped off with a fantastic Lion Dance performance. Don't miss the pictures!

January 10 (Sat.), 11:00 am - 2:00 pm - Day Hike, Soberanes Point - Simply outdoor "heaven!"

12/6/08  -  Streets of Bethlehem - A magical evening! 

11/22/08 - Annual Thanksgiving Celebration - A memorable evening for all that brought about 150 people together from around the world for a celebration of THANKS!

11/15/08 - Day Trip to San Francisco -  This was a fabulous day!
