Joyce & I are so excited to be part of the Monterey international student community and blessed by the great relationship we have with such a premier graduate schools as Middlebury (Monterey) Institute of International Studies and the Naval Postgraduate School, NPS.
Being a private international language school, MIIS has designed all of it's programs to promote & build international diplomacy with a goal of making the world a better place. Their motto, though it changes occasionally, has been "ready to change the world" (taken from a graduation postcard).
The Naval Postgraduate School receives military officers from all over the world. And while their men are busy with studies, our ISI volunteer women have wonderful opportunities to share with these officer's wives who themselves long for deeper relationships.
We are also amazed by the numbers of international students & families who ask to be invited into relationships with us as ISI-Monterey. This is all way bigger than just us! We love the chance we have to facilitate and assist so many local volunteers in connecting with these international students.
With the understanding that all of this has it's expenses, and as we continue to find new ways to reach more students, we invite you to consider becoming part of our financial support team.
