Exploring Spiritual Interests
ISI is open to people of all beliefs, treating everyone equally with dignity and respect. We do not try to push our beliefs on others. We share with those interested and we listen to those who would like to share with us. When we are together for group activities, we remain neutral for those who wish not to discuss these things. At the same time, as we live in a country where freedom of religion is cherished, we appreciate the diversity and love to interact with those who wish to do so -- no matter who they are or what they have to share.
What We Believe
Personally, we believe in the God as he expresses himself through the Bible. At the same time, we absolutely respect everyone who comes here along with the cultural & spiritual beliefs they bring with them. Everyone is treated with honor & dignity because that is what the Bible teaches. ISI is first-of-all here to serve you and to enjoy your friendships, and to learn from you cross-culturally. We strongly believe that no person is better than another and we ourselves are blessed to get to know you. As we make friends and interact cross-culturally, we're also glad to share what some internationals seem to think makes us unique, though not better, as we openly enjoy serving strangers and inviting them into our homes. We do this freely, expecting nothing in return; and we will never push what we believe on anyone.
If you are curious in these matters, you can simply enjoy and observe them by interacting with us as friends. Or, you're welcome to visit our weekly exploratory study group as we look more closely at the Bible itself, even as it might compare with other beliefs. We lead this study on Sunday evenings on the MIIS campus. International students as well as Americans are welcome. Let us know if you're interested.
